My son's wedding.
Edited on Mon Nov-23-09 01:47 PM by intheflow
So I actually took these back in June. My son got married, and I have no shots of the ceremony because I was the officiant. But afterwards, I took some of the formals:

Here's my son and his lovely new bride. See the speck over their heads? Dragonflies were flying all around us during the ceremony and photos. At one point, two landed on Katie's dress and started mating! How's that for an auspicious omen? (Sadly, I shot this at the wrong film speed-1600!--for the bright sun. I wasn't posing them in the sun, btw, that was their amateur photographer friend who thought that would be a good idea. Really just blasted out most of the shots and made everyone sweaty.)

At my insistence, we moved everyone into the shade for some other shots. Isn't my DIL beautiful?

The couple goofing around. I can't remember what they were really saying, but my DIL has captioned this as, "You did WHAT at your bachelor party?!?!" (For the record, Dan's bachelor party was a camping trip with his best men. Honest!)

This is my favorite photo of the day!

Here they are with my "grandchildren." :)

That's probably enough from this proud Mama. :hi:

2. You favorite of the day......
....is the same as my favorite of the day.

Terrific shots of two good-looking, happy, young adults.

Be proud, Mama, be proud.

3. Great looking couple!
I hope someone got some pictures of you being the officiant!

Love the inclusion of the dogs in the pics (and I don't even have a dog).

7. I love that my DIL isn't one of those women who
would forbid animals anywhere near her in her wedding dress! :) Such a woman would have been a hopeless match for my dog-loving, informal son. (Probably helps that she bought the dress on a bargain rack. I'm sure she'd have felt different had she spent more than $100 on it!)

4. Congrats, InTheFlow!
These are beautiful, and I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one who shoots outside in daylight at 1600 ISO. :P

9. Beautiful. The story and the chronicling of it.
The astonished one and your favorite will be forever remembered. I love them, and the others as well.
Happy Day!
