Dropping in at UNCSchool of the Arts - to see my grandson's panel project
My grandson is a senior in High School, and studies visual arts. The panel project is where 4 students a day exhibit their work, each has a whole wall, to the school, their parents, and then they are subject to intense critique.

I was in the elevator with him and he pushed open the door in between floors with his feet to reveal the graffiti up and down the whole walls of the shaft.

Then a part of the walk to the Studios

Here are a few of his pieces

And this is the hill behind me in my rear view mirror as I pull out of the parking lot.
I live a full 3 blocks away.

1. How great to have him so close
And to be able to watch him grow up. I know you are so proud of him; he sure seems as if he has talent. It's wonderful he gets to go to a high school that specializes in his interests.

2. It was a miracle that he got in. Few spots, stiff competition nationwide.
In state, for High School students (Dance, Drama, all musical instruments/conducting/voice, film making), tuition room and board are free.
And yes, it's wonderful he is so close. He calls me his third parent.

3. Nice!
And I can smugly state, given that the nearest our household has to a vehicle is my bicycles, that if you posted in GD that you drove 3 blocks to get these, they would turn on you like jackals on a warm rabbit...!

4. His third parent? That just
warms my heart. And I agree with comments above. You are indeed blessed to live so close to your grandson. He is very talented, but then you know that already.
