Inevitability...
Edited on Mon Nov-09-09 03:18 PM by Blue_In_AK
We finally got our first snowfall here in West Anchorage last night. This isn't the latest date for our first snowfall -- according to NOAA, that's November 13, 2002 -- but we were getting a very extended fall this year.

Here are a few shots around the yard this morning.

The garden Buddha looks a little chilly.

The dianthus are all done until next year.

Yuuko doesn't seem to mind. She seems to be taking to the snow quite well.

What's under this mulch?

Nothing but dead flowers

2. Yuuko's Explore reminds me of our Bedlington's reaction to new snow
in our yard! Toni loved it, ran and ran and ran, after hesitating for a brief moment!

Thanks, Blue!

3. I absolutely LOVE the last shot - is that a llasa?

My parents had llasas when I was a kid.

Very fun. Great shot!

4. No, she's a Shih-tzu,
but I think they must be very similar. She's a real character.

5. Cracking up over the dog shots - they are hysterical - make me forget the cold.
I stood in a credit union lobby today (I'm moving my money out of my bank which only has a one star rating left) and they have a huge wall hung flat screen TV.
Across strolled : "Anchorage...30 degrees"
I thought of you, and figured that for you this is still mild.

BRRRRRRRRRRR

6. Condolences! But looks like winter's already given you good photo ops.
Love the second shot.

And the dog shots, of course.
