My favorites today - AKA happy amateur moments (9 pictures)

I was glad to see that in spite of the rainy weather the forest still held color and beauty.

2. Thanks, I still in my mind
go to your photos (and also in reality - I look again) of the "almost" winter photos you posted.
To me that would be such a depth of winter I would have to flee.

The only thing that would make survival possible to my mind is the grand and splendid beauty of it.

3. Oh, it's not so bad, really,
but then I'm not from the South. The seven years I spent in Houston were the most miserable of my life. I just can't bear that heat.

4. Did I just go on a bike ride with you?
Did I burn some calories too? That's kind of how I feel now.

Seriously, I had a great time looking at these. They make for a great series of photos. Except for the lack of hills around here, we look about the same. And, if I start posting ice and snow pictures sometime in the next few months, I expect you and some others will be doing the same a day or two later. Remember last year's early spring snow storm? I think we had some northerners and westerners scratching their heads.
