Polaroid revival?
A while back, there was a post about "The Impossible Project", a project that started after Polaroid stopped manufacturing the instant films. It aimed to create a new way to manufacture the film. I checked the site today and there's been an update.

The Impossible Project inspires Polaroid to re-launch Instant Cameras

We are pleased to herewith announce a history making cooperation between Polaroid and The Impossible Project:

As we have created quite some buzz about Analog Instant Photography over the past 12 months, the Polaroid licensee - The Summit Global Group - now can't resist any longer and announced at a press conference on October 13th in Hongkong that they will re-launch some of the most famous Polaroid Instant Cameras.

<snip>

Large-scale production and worldwide sale of The Impossible Project's new integral film materials under its own brand will already start in the beginning of 2010 - with a brand new and astonishing black and white Instant Film and the first colour films to follow in the course of the year.

This looks like good news for fans of Polaroid cameras. I don't know what the availability of the film will be on this side of the Atlantic.

2. My Polaroid is...
Mine is an unused 600 Business Edition. I wonder how many others who frequent this forum have Polaroid cameras?

3. I was given this Polaroid last year. There's a hack where you can make it
into a digital.

5. Urban Outfitters has some polaroid film
Apparently they bought up part of the last batch of film. The Granville store had some, if you're interested. They also have the Fuji Instax Mini ( http://www.amazon.com/Fujiilm-MINI-7s-White-Camera/dp/B001AK1DOG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257620208&sr=8-1 ), which is cute but pricey for an instant.

What I really want is one of these: Polaroid Pogo portable printer ( http://www.amazon.com/Polaroid-CZA-10011B-Instant-Mobile-Printer/dp/B0019UGCLG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257620301&sr=1-1 ). It fits in your pocket and works with most cameras/phones. For some reason it's not available here yet :shrug:
