A post with no pictures LOL
I spent the last hour or so going through my files.
Before that I made a list of the names of the Beatles songs in my I-tunes library, just to have some song titles.

I thought this would be a difficult contest for me, because I don't know songs the way you do, I am a listener to Opera and classical music, not much else.

BUT
I already, with this said, have more than I can possibly want to chose from.
RIDICULOUS.

Especially now that I understand it's just naming a photo with the title of a song.
Piece of cake.

So, it's back to not knowing what to chose.
But, I still like my original one: "Tequila makes her clothes fall off" - I mentioned it before.

1. I'm sort of in the same boat

My music is pretty obscure (but definitely not opera or classical). I don't really have an archive so you might be in a better position than me.

I think the challenge of this contest will be the inversion of process. Normally, you have an idea of what you should be shooting, take photos, then choose and name. The theme almost forces you to go about it backward, with the name driving the photo shoot. The openness of the potential subjects actually exacerbates this. It's harder to fit an image to a name than it is to add a name to an image. It's almost like choosing your own theme.

2. I tried everything
I am semi familiar with mainstream music titles, so that helps. But I don't have them at my fingertips, so I looked through websites listing music titles, to see if anything fit my photos that I remembered. I found a few, but realized that those particular photos weren't all that great (which is why I started the thread on photos you DON'T use, in case anyone else went through this process).

Then, I got hungup on a particular song, because I thought it would be funny. I tried to take some shots that fit the title. I came back home and showed them to my husband, who nixed them--correctly, I might add.

So, I started the other way. I looked through my pictures, found some favorites and tried thinking of titles. At that point I decided I wanted to use a particular picture, no matter what. I thought of some titles, but they weren't that great. I showed the picture to my husband, who came up with a great song title, one which most people could easily recognize.

The whole process was pretty fun. Oh, I have a WHOLE LOT more "potential" entries that I deep sixed.

3. Sometimes, with what you write, I feel like I must be looking in a mirror.
So funny.
I can't wait to see your entry, and also you non-entries.
EVERY single time, when it comes to chosing or making an entry, at the start I just know I won't have anything worthy of entry.
And a half hour later after shooting or looking, all that's left to do it the hard part.
Making the choice.

4. I've been laughing
at a bunch of the non-entries. I knew there would be some that were really funny. I like seeing the title of a song and then have the music go through my head. That's why it is important for me to recognize the title. It adds another dimension to the photo.
