I like all of these shots but I especially enjoy the third. Maybe it's the contrast of the new looking chain and lock with the rest of the door/knockers.

I've played around with the Channel Mixer but can never quite get the adjustments the way I want them. Perhaps I will try again.

The first two are my favorites.

It's a hit & miss process, but if I haven't already converted to grayscale in RAW, which I usually do, I often simply convert the photo to Lab color, do whatever curve and level fiddling and sharpening there, then discard the other channels. There are much more refined ways to do it, but this is quick and (sometimes) works.
