I'd love to have your comments, but above all, just vote please, and thanks.

1. Third one
I voted for the third one because of the riot of colours and the fact that it's something different (non-leafy). It was still hard to choose, though.

2. I happen to really love gourds
So that was my pick! But it is close between the gourds, the first one, and the firewood picture. That one is a great autumn picture.

3. Yeah, gettin' some votes! Thanks.
It really helps to have your eyes on them, as you well know we have emotional ties to our photos and how we took them, and all of that.

For me they often override my judgment of what's a good picture.

Keep on voting, and thanks.

In my family the firewood and swing win. With one nod to the gourds.
I myself am in favor of the leaf on the wine bottle. (I think - but it was a fabulous bike ride, too)

4. Boy, they're all terrific...
... I voted for the first one because I really like it (but I would back off the sharpening a notch or two). I really like the bicycle too but for the contest I think the first one is a better choice. This is a tough bunch to pick from but I voted with regrets that I couldn't vote again... and again...

7. I voted for the first one
Twice. Or at least I tried. I like the earthiness of the colours and the subjects.

8. Thanks for casting your vote !
Thanks for liking it, I do too.
It has a fun history, too.
My "adopted" daughter (I took her out of an orphanage at age 16 - 25 yrs ago)
and her 9 yr old son were enthralled along with me with the beauty of that apple.

We arranged the wine-bottle, glasses, apple for a good while, laughing, enjoying, being artistic and creative.

They got a memory in how to stage a photo, and, maybe, I got an entry.

14. That's sweet
Somehow all that love and togetherness got fused into that photo so strongly I can feel it, even over the internet.

18. Just found your very dear comment. And guess what...another bit of info
that makes the glass special: I got 4 of them a Goodwill the day before, crystal, gold rim, heavy, engraved at 25 cents each..

21. Ha, I'm the queen of thrift shops...
... we have a new Goodwill here that has two floors and the most amazing inventory and pricing! Great find in those glasses!

9. Tough choice
I'm proably a bit of a contrarian on this one, but the one that I keep coming back to is the last one. A bicycle ride in a beautiful forest on a warm clear autumn day is a little bit of heaven, IMHO.

Second choice is #1. Still life on an autumn afternoon. :-)

11. I struggled between one and three,
but finally choses photo number three. It's got Fall written all over it. The colors just pop out and the shadows add to an interesting composition.

I can just hear your family, "but Mira, they are all wonderful!" I always enjoy viewing your picture. You have great talent.

15. I voted for #6
partly out of nostalgia for cycling (October has been cold and wet here), but mostly because I think it's very artful. The vote totals would indicate that I'm completely wrong.:)

16. Put the one that YOU like the best in -

That photo will be the one that represents your truest self...the one that speaks to YOU!

17. Ahhh - it's such a great suggestion debbierlus. But alas, I am all over the place
changing my mind constantly because of emotional attachments to the situations when they were shot, or the objects depicted.

I think the polls are fun for everyone, and a way to learn from the opinions of others.

Naturally the decision is mine, like Russian Roulette, it depends on what's in the chambers at shooting time, and my voting friends help me to better spot the blanks.

19. 1 & 2 remain my favorite
but the first one takes precedence.
The balance of the objects and the sense of "crispness" along with the
gold and russet being repeated, all say FALL to me.
I drooled over the implied taste and textures, too.
