My tribute to Autumn - comments appreciated!

Just got back from 12 days in NYC. I think I hit the peak of the colors. Here are a few of them from which I will choose my Autumn entry.

1. With great appreciation I slowly made my way through them, and my first

reaction is that "Pretty in Pink" is the most startlingly beautiful one. The juxtaposition of color vs. (almost) no color is very unusual and I LIKE IT very much.
Sunken treasure is the first runner up.

2. Gorgeous Mz Pip; we sure don't get that action here in the Bay Area!

Several of those could easily be winners; I especially like "The Ramble," but there are several great ones in there.

3. I was like a kid

in a candy store. "Ooooh, ooh! Just a minute!' Must have walked many miles through Central Park and the Botanical Gardens. I took about 300 pictures.

4. As much as I love SoCal...

... I am envious of the colors you get in the fall! I have much less envy come January though! I think what makes the fall colors even more glorious is their ephemeral nature.

Mz. Pip, you take my breath away! I especially love the red maple, sunken treasure, and pretty in pink (my favorite).

5. you could pick any one of them

They are all great. I guess my faves are the first and last one. I really can't decide between them. Sunken Treasure is the runnerup.

You know, I think I like the last one best (maybe?) just because it will be so different from everyone else's, probably. The only thing that might hold me back is that it is in portrait mode rather than landscape. But that makes it different too. I love it that all but the pink in it looks so desaturated. It is a reminder of the winter to come. I really, really like that picture, and the beautiful maple.

6. Ooooh! What amazing colours!

I especially like the first one, the stained glass one and the last photo. The splash of colour in the last one is so unexpected.

.....I am soooooooooooooooooo envious of all these fabulous-looking, changing-foliage, real-autumn shots!

Can't get up to colder climes right now, and heading to FL for another 10 days on family business...............one of these days, one of these days!
