Various places that interested me today in Marathon and in Duck Key

Duck Key's very fine Hotel has this floor in the bar, the squares are 4" x 4"


Usually I think stuff made of shells is tacky, but I was very impressed with this frame for a mirror. You are looking at a small detail, and it is made of cut and glued shell parts, the flower on the bottom is about 6" tall


There is a Dolphin Training and Research center






Another iguana, I'm almost getting used to being scared to see them

1. Cool stuff. I don't believe I've ever seen cut shells.

(Or maybe I just didn't realize it) Their form is usually considered to be a sort-of sacred perfection. Interesting outside-of-the-box use of them showing the inner beauty.
