Nikkon Transfer program
For some reason I can't get the transfer program to work today. It's worked fine up till now. When I click on start transfer the program closes. It recognizes the camera, shows the pics, the camera is set on USB. Anyone else have this problem? Could it have corrupted? I've not changed or updated or done anything since I originally loaded it.

Thanks.

1. Though I'n not a Nikonian, I think your driver could have been corrupted
and not necessarily the app itself.

Try a driver update or reinstall the existing driver file before doing anything more drastic. JMHO.

2. One possibility.
One of the options in the program is to NOT write over existing files but just skip ahead until a new file is found, possibly the default setting. If the files you are trying to transfer have the same file names as files which already exist in the destination folder, this would be normal and proper behavior for the program. You can check that by cross checking the names or just creating a new destination folder and trying again.

3. Sorry, should have posted
that I did check for that. The next number folder is a new number. It's worked perfectly for 5 and won't transfer and create number 6.

6. Can you use Windows Explorer (File Manager) ?
I've always just used the Windows Explorer (File Manager) to directly transfer photos from my Nikon camera directly to a created folder on my hard drive.
My camera automatically shows up as "Removable Media Drive" in Windows Explorer as soon as I plug in the USB.
It is a simple matter to just select all files on the camera drive, and then cut and paste them to the Hard Drive without using another program. This also automatically erases the photos from the camera card.
