1. So how was the earthquake
at your house? All ok? Going to go look at pictures.

2. Oh, we're fine.
We were having lunch at the Indian restaurant, celebrating our sixth wedding anniversary, when the earthquake happened. It was a good little shaker, enough to get your attention, but not enough to be scary. Our house is pretty flexible. :)

3. Hi Blue -
What fantastic photos - I admit that a few of them brought a tear to my eye.

I wish you had gotten a cleaner shot of the birds - I would totally be stealing it for a new avatar. (with your permission, of course :))

4. I wanted a cleaner shot of the birds, too,
but they were way up in that tree, and of the three shots I took, this one was the clearest. It was really a surprise to see them up there since this isn't exactly the tropics. :)

5. yeah, I was surprised that you had a shot of something like that at all
how cold was it out? Because people look like they are wearing what would pass for early summer gear here.

6. It was probably around 60.
It had rained earlier in the day so was still fairly cool. Of course, around here people dress for summer when it's 45.

8. Those are really inspiring!
You guys get a whole lot more participation that ours does in Tulsa, no surprise! Ha! The UU church here doesn't participate but the UCC makes a huge effort to every year with a float and many walkers.

I love Miss Daphne! :hi:

9. Alaskans seem to be activists,
whether on the right or the left. I'm not sure why, but it's what makes this place so interesting.
