Is doing an excellent job hosting the contest? I love the two separate threads, one solely for entries, the other for comments. Great idea.

It's very obvious that he's put a ton of thought and effort into this and did a fantastic job of fine-tuning the excellent work of past Hosts and has layed out a great Contest. I liked having plenty of time to work on the Theme, so I can't use that as an excuse ;-), having all the Headsup threads..

Geeesh! I turn my back for a second and the group gets all silly. GOPFighter don't do windows, flower pictures, or two contests in a row. GOPFighter prefers to sip wine and read trashy novels on his weekends and evenings.

But thanks for the kind words. :blush: I merely added a few touches to what ConsAreLiars and previous contest hosts have done. And those touches came from suggestions made by people in this Group. :applause:

I'm sure the next contest host will make the contest even better. (I hope you caught that mention of "the next contest host"???)

And what are you all doing hanging around DU on a Saturday, appointing people contest host for life, when you should all be out TAKING PICTURES for future contests!!

13. I'm in a little different situation than you, Alfredo...

For me, not every day is Saturday, but I can turn any day I want to into Saturday, which is almost as good. Especially up here in the summer with the tourists all over the place and everybody running out of town on the weekends to go fishing, I am so glad that Mr. Blue (aka HullBoss) and I can go out on weekdays if we want to and avoid the crowds. It really gets pretty insane up here in the summertime.

We were just talking last night about how much we love May and September here, usually our best months weather-wise -- clear, warm and dry -- with only a few people on the highways and in the campgrounds. It's worth living here all year just for those two months.
