Beach Photos
I live 5 minutes away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Well, it was beautiful until we got a direct hit from Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne. See these before and after shots...

BEFORE

Our beaches are historic as well as beautiful!

Nice color to the water

Early morning, a bit cloudy

Evening, at dusk

AFTER

Two months after Hurricane Jeanne... damage is still extensive.

1. I hope it will soon be restored
back to the way it was. Do you think the damage is permanent? I hope not.

3. Some permanent damage...
to the coastline. The beach is a lot shorter, for one thing, than it used to be. However, most of the damage to vegetation will repair itself, although it might be a long time in the making. I have only been to the beach once since the hurricanes, and that was over Thanksgiving. I used to go every weekend, but it's just too difficult looking at all the damage.

This is North and South Hutchinson islands of Fort Pierce, FL, btw, if you were wondering where it was.

5. Here's a few from the Outer Banks

Sunrise on Nag's Head

Moonrise on Nag's Head

Taken with an old Pentax K-1000 manual 35mm. The shots are a bit grainy. I had them transferred to CD years ago (before I got a digital camera).

Looking at Ram Island. Note the rocky beach in silhouette in the foreground. I've never been a sandy beach person, personally.

Nice job!

I have trouble making beach photos interesting but that's one fantastic.

14. Here's my Moorea beach photo. (Yes, I did the lettering, too.)

I'll have to dig around the bowels of my PC and see if I can find the original scan of the print. This was over 10 years ago when I set up my website.
