Strangers Touching (or Touching Strangers).
STRANGERS TOUCHING

Richard Renaldi spent a year on self assignment asking total strangers to touch. Then he took their photo.

The results are touching.

1. These are all strangers?
Wow! Some shots look quite intimate.

Interesting concept, and successful too.

3. I think that's a really cool concept
it's interesting how the brain just assumes relationships from different poses.

5. File that under......
......"why didn't I think of that?"

Lots of emotion just jumping off each photo. Simple, yet powerful.

Thanks for sharing.

6. These are very interesting. Looking at postures, I notice a couple things.
In many the hand of the arm around the shoulder is held out from the person (as opposed to putting arm around shoulder and holding shoulder also).

There are a lot of intimate shots, would not know they are strangers.

Very interesting concept. I've been thinking of trying a "pict a day of something" sort of thing, make myself commit to it and see what happens.

7. What a great find.
What strikes me about a lot of these pictures is how protective of one another the people look. Another thing that strikes me is the dignity that radiates from the subjects. Is it something peculiar to the type of person who's willing to pose in this way, or is it something we all have in us somewhere?

Either way, thanks for posting!!
