Y'all have inspired me!
I've been viewing all of the great pictures here, and I finally got around to setting up an account so that I can post some of my photos....most of mine are "lucky" I point and shoot and hope something great comes out!

My husband and I took a business trip to Idaho (I refuse to fly until TSA is either disbanded or more realistic), here are a few of the 1400 photos I took (hubby took almost as many) during our drive to Idaho. We took a detour to Flaming Gorge, Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone.

Thank you all for sharing!

If you want to see a few more from my trip (I've only posted 13 so far): http://www.cdhilbert.com/favorite_photos/our_trip_to_idaho_falls_-_1/

sunset in kansas - first night of our trip - taken at 70mph on the interstate!

flaming gorge - it had been raining all day and the clouds starting breaking shortly before we left, still haze in the sky though!

Yellowstone Rapids - left me almost speechless!

1. Nice shots.
I've never been to that part of the country. That Flaming Gorge is spectacular.

2. Thanks...
We started at about 9am and went south down the east side, had lunch in Utah, then drove north up the west side....there's a dam, a bridge and lots of overlooks. This shot was taken on the west side, after the dam. If we had started down the west side, I don't think we wouldn't have gotten this shot as I took this as we were driving down from one of the high points.

It is beautiful and we pretty much made a day of it. We stopped at just about every overlook - I would recommend it -- even if you just go down the west side...I think it has the best potential for views.

3. Good stuff!
I especially like Rain Break. That's a very fine shot.
