More Train Photos
The train photo that I submitted for the contest "My Love's Restoration", is my boyfriend's train. He restores old engines and train cars as a hobby, and sometimes as a business. Here's a couple of others that I shot that day, at his railyard.

A further explanation about the title of my contest entry. Yes, my love likes to restore old trains. But also, we have been going through a really bad time lately. I don't know if we will be together again. And last Thursday, at the railyard as he was helping me shoot photos of his trains, I had hope for the first time that our love will be restored.

8. He called today...
Said he didn't want to try again. That I shouldn't wait for him, that I should go on with my life.

4. Ooooh, a steamer?
Those things are sooo expensive to maintain and keep running. There's one in Georgetown, Colorado that is still in operation. Very cool train you got there!

5. This was in Pickering in the UK
It's a regular run between the Yorkshire Moors and the coast. Run by volunteers and enthusiasts.

6. I would have been very interested in seeing how #1 did in the contest.
At first look it is just abstract art. Then it looks symmetrical, and then is recognized as the front end of a locomotive. Then, looking again there is no real symmetry. Every left-right check gives a "no" and thus encourages further looks. The "look, look, look again" is the difference between good and better. Nice work.

7. I almost entered that one
But I thought... no, they wouldn't know what it is. I probably should have gone with it, the one I entered isn't doing so well.
