Spring is slowly getting here.
The peepers are making their nightly music.
The trees are budding
And the finches are slowly putting on their summer wardrobe.

The chickadee decided to look like an Easter egg while dancing for food already.

One of my 4 resident Mourning doves decided it was ok to pose.

And the Robins are arriving though still make it hard to get their picture.

1. Boids!! Aww, how cute, I love the black and white
chickadee, whatever it is, standing straight on, staring you down. That is so funny.

I have noticed the birds are singing again in the morning when we wake up. That is always a good sign that mating season is coming and spring can't be far away.

3. We have a mockingbird out back. He's got a bad wing, but can still fly.
He's become quite tame.

4. Awww hope he survives .
As long as he hangs around your place he should be ok.
You just reminded me, our mockingbirds haven't appeared and neither have the catbirds. Course they don't have as much fun since we do not let these cats outside. I swear they used to begged one of our cats to come out and play. They would play for hours too. That cat could of eaten the mockingbird a few time if he wanted to, but he liked it as much as the bird.

5. We had one cat that was afraid of birds. I think our cockatiel traumatized
him when he was young.

6. Oooh nice!
I especially like the goldfinches and the doves! And you must have been close to that robin. I haven't been lucky enough to get very near one this spring.
