Some winterscapes
It was a great day for a walk yesterday even at zero degrees.

3. Does it ever "glitter" up there?
You know, when there's a light wind blowing around very dry snow and the sun hits it and it glitters in the air. I would love pictures of that if you know how to capture it. I love seeing your frosty pictures without having to go out in freezing weather myself. :)

6. The glittery stuff was everywhere in the air yesterday.

It was absolutely gorgeous. I do have a shot or two where I tried to capture it, but it's difficult because it's moving around so much. If I get a minute later, I'll try to work on a couple of the photos I took and see if I can bring out the effect. This morning I'm down here in my office working and the trees outside my window are sparkling like diamonds. It's just beautiful when the sun comes out after we've had these foggy nights.

9. Here's a little of that glittery effect.
It doesn't begin to capture the magic of it, but you can at least see the sparkles in the air.

4. I am so glad that you
share your beautiful state with us. Yesterday we reached a whopping +5(F). It felt like a heatwave compared to the below zero temps we've been experiencing the past couple of days.

8. It's been really cold here, too.
Whenever the skies clear, the temperature drops. The coldest in the state yesterday was -54 in Fort Yukon - that's without any wind chill factor. Thankfully, it never gets that chilly here.

Awesome. Almost surreal the way the edges glow.

All spectacular, though.

All it does here is rain, rain, rain in the winter.

10. Brrr...looks cold, love the frost on the trees
We're maintaining 20s-30s. Headed off to Austria for 4 days of skiing, should bring back some cool shots :hi:
