Some more for the snow bunnies....

This is from my work partner's driveway. She lives out in east Anchorage at the base of the mountains.



These two are of the little park at the end of our street. There's a stream running here in the summer where the open expanse of snow is. Last winter there was a moose who hung out here most of the season, but I haven't seen her this year. She must have moved on.

How long is the sun up this time of year? The pictures all look like they were taken at dusk. That soft light is awesome.

2. The sun is up (if you can call it that)

from 10:00 a.m. to 4:17 today. We're starting to get a little more daylight, but the sun is still very low on the southern horizon so it's always coming at a really low angle. It was fairly overcast this day with some filtered light coming under the clouds in the south sky.

Yesterday and today have been gorgeous, but I've had so much work, I haven't had a chance to get out. Hopefully the clear sky will last another day so I can get out tomorrow and take a few more shots. It's VERY cold though (3 right now, -5 to -10 tonight), so I probably won't be out long.

3. the only good thing about this time of year is that

my bedroom gets the low hanging sunshine from about 11-2 every day, and the Demon loves it. So do I ;)
