I've been a lurker here for a while.
Here's a few of the photos I've taken that are my favorites.

Kennebunkport, Maine

This is another view along the shore of Kennepunkport. My friend and I drove from Michigan to Maine for a protest march last summer. It was most definitely the most picturesque march I've ever participated in.

This is the wall at the Korean War Monument in D.C. It was hard to get a shot without getting a reflection of someone in the background.

Guess everyone knows this one.

1. These are really pretty...
I've never been to Maine -- it looks surprisingly like the northwest. I really like the framing in the second one.

4. Very nice!
That Korean War memorial shot must have been difficult for a lot of reasons, but it came out great.

Love the Lincoln shot, too...they had him surrounded with scaffolding for cleaning when we were there. :(

:D

5. Here's a couple of others.

This is on the opposite side of the wall of the Vietnam Memorial. The sculptures in DC are incredible.

8. I have a very similar photo to that second one
that I took last January in DC. I think that's a very moving sculpture.

9. It's one of my favorites. I never get tired of looking at it.
It really changes how it looks as you move around it. Different perspectives get very different results. Love it.

The only time I've been to Kennebunkport, I didn't bring a camera (besides, back then, I probably would only have had an Instamatic). However, your shots not only capture the spirit of the place very well, but the second one also illustrates Kennebunkport's biggest problem...

Bushes everywhere!

13. LOL...
We got close enough to the compound so that we could see people on the lawn.

Here's a shot of the compound with an appropriate banner:

This is the closest shot I could get of the compound:

And this is the sign I carried for those who couldn't attend:

15. Hi livvy. Welcome to the
photo group, a sanctuary of saneness these days. Great photos. Hope you post more soon. Love the way the tree is framing the beach and water in the second one. I know what you mean on the reflections on the Korean War Memorial. Sometimes it is worth waiting to get a good reflection though to add to the atmosphere of the photo.
