1. Cool photo!
The reflection colors are so vivid, and the window casing looks so severe. Is that a local repainting job, or soemthing long neglected?

Of course I have my own shot in the same vein. This window is in an old mining cabin in the Colorado mountains.

It's like looking into a different dimension.

Forgot to mention that the house was being renovated. It is across the street from the Fayette County Democratic Headquarters.

5. Another window

The more I look at your picture, the spookier it gets. Good job.

2. Victor, Colorado store
Small town about 10,000 ft elevation. Area around here was once a favorite place of ours to explore. Gold Camp Road, mountains on other side of Pikes Peak. Now this area has been STRIPPED away by the big Gold Mining Corporations. :-( It's been depressing to watch the transformation over the years.....

Very nice photo alfredo. That has to be very old glass in those windows. Surprised those windows have survived over the years. Kewl.

4. That was one thing I missed when living out west,
rambling through the old dying towns. I know it is depressing at times, but sadness and decay are much better subjects than shiny new boxes.

Very good photo.

6. Nice!
I'll have to pay more attention to windows, especially those with "character"!

7. thanks.
Go to the old section of town, I am sure you will find something of interest.

Junk yards are fun, and so are architectural salvage warehouses.

13. I desaturated the duplicate then
pretty much left it alone because I didn't want it to distract from the windows. I then isolated the two color windows and pasted to the copy.

I believe this was shot on Auto. The original Jpeg turned out close to what I wanted when desaturated. I wanted the wood to look bleached out. You can look at the detail of the wood but the target is the windows and the area immediately around the windows.

Okay, so I resized and cropped this quick so I could post it tonight :).

This is the Trinity Church in Boston reflected in the windows of the Hancock Tower.

I like the vividness of the color :)

10. How beautiful!
You're making me homesick for the Boston Public Library! And also Legal Seafood (right accross from the Hancock building). Oh the many hours I spent in Boston, many good times. Denver is nice, but it's just... not... the... same....

11. Trinity Church is tough to photograph right now
They're doing a lot of renovations, so getting an angle where you don't see scaffolds and such is hard.

I'm glad you like the shot :), those reflections have been a favorite subject of mine for years, today the lighting was just perfect for this angle :).

I like your shot!

Here's one of mine-- Union Station KC reflected in a glass wall building.

One night in a dream I walked up to myself,
the way others see me, not reversed.
And I smiled like a chrome bumper,
on a 58 Chevy.

But when I talked, it was backwards.
Then I frowned at me,
and flickered out.

Only when I played the dream backwards, like a tape,
did I hear my sad message.

I said:
"Hello."
"I am you in the happy world."
"I'm so very sorry for your misery, but I cannot stay."
"Goodbye old friend, and good luck."

17. There used to be a jazz club right across
from that building. I think it was called "The Perfect Circle" or something like that.

I saw Herbie Hancock there.

15. That's great... looks like he dropped his screen or window
from the look on his face.

Great photo pun. Very subtle.
