2. We had to hang all our tinsel in the top 2/3 of the tree
because Punkie likes to eat it.

Speaking of cats, my little Julie is just about ready to give up the ghost, I think. She's been very weak with the hip and nerve problems she's had for years, and now she doesn't even want to get up. I haven't had the heart to put her to sleep, so I'm hoping maybe she'll just go gently in her sleep. Say a little kitty prayer for her soul - she's been a sweet one.

5. So sorry
She looks like my little Scully, who was a 3 week old feral rescue when we got her. Sigh.

It hurts to let them go. We had one of our kitties put down last year - he had pancreatic cancer. It was hard but I couldn't stand to see him suffer.

It's one of the sad parts of having pets. We know we will outlive them.

8. Oh poor Julie
That is a day I dread. But maybe when the time comes for my big guy, I will be ready because he has lived a good long life. It's hard to see them suffer. Here's a  Blue, one for you and one for Julie. Hope she passes peacefully.

9. Thank you, 48
I made an appointment this morning with the vet to have Julie put to sleep. We went out to run a few errands, and when we came home she was gone ... still warm, but definitely deceased. Jax, the shih-tsu, and Punkie were watching over her. It's sad to see her go, but she's been disabled from the hip dysplasia for several years, so this is best. She was a sweetheart though, never complained or got snippy even though she could barely walk. RIP, Julie. You'll be missed.

7. I remember the year I stopped using tinsel.
My cat ate it and the next day had tinsel trailing from her butt. If that doesn't turn you off to a festive decorating option, nothing will.

It's always kind of sad to see them come down.
