3. My brother in law
takes care of sick/hurt birds of prey for the state's animal protection. This one flew into something (window, wire, etc.) and was in very bad shape when brought in. He was taken care of, got an identification ring and was released yesterday.

4. Thank you.
It's a he; the females are quite bigger. I don't know if he got the scratch from the bird, though. :hi:

6. A very pretty bird, isn't it?
Yes, the 3rd pic was with the flash. The bird just wanted to go I guess. :)

13. Works for me. lol
And a hawk is much harder to get a photo of than a fur child bird that loves you. One that we have had to write into our will. Well all the animals are in case but he has the odds on out living us.

15. No worries;
I never considered myself a bird photographer, but having a BIL that has a cure station for birds of prey, I might happen to be some by accident. I wish I had a few pics of the stone eagle he recently had.

The next ones I'll post are of his falcon.

12. I love the top one, especially, because the hawk just seems to...
...be saying, "Would you please go ahead and take the picture!" Just kidding...those are fantastic!
