Dog in a diaper

This is my girlfriend Cindy's dog, Lily. One reason I haven't posted much lately is because I've moved to a new apartment; in fact, Cindy and I moved in together, into a new place for both of us. The other reason is I've been extremely busy with work, working 80 hr weeks; so between the two I haven't had much time to even think about photographs, much less take them.

But back to the diaper. Lily is wearing this as a training aid, but it's sort of the opposite of diapers for babies. As long as she's wearing it, she won't go. So it stays on while indoors, and we take it off when we take her out for her "business". The reason we're doing this is because Lily is used to going on a "puppy pad" indoors, which is what she used to do while Cindy was at work all day. But I work at home, and I can take her out during the day, so we're trying to change her behavior to view the outdoors as the only place to go. It's working okay, but we've still had a few incidents, especially with #2.

If you look at Lily's tail, it looks like the diaper has rubbed the hair off. But that actually occurred before we started the diaper regimen. It was caused by ticks or fleas or something like that. She gets bitten, and the hair falls off almost immediately. So we give her the flea medicine and the hair eventually grows back.

Still in the process of moving in, not much on the wall yet, but it's getting there:

1. Oh, what a cute little pup!
You should introduce her to the Pet Group. :)

2. What a great-looking dog!
She's got interesting markings on her face, as if her left side was a cubist reflection of her right side.

And cool you've moved into a new place! It looks like it's got some nice architectural features. I really like the picture over your sofa. It looks like a nice place to start cohabitating. :)

I love photos of everyday life. They document any given second in any given life. (In this case, you and Lily's newly shared lives.) Besides, how many people's life stories involve dogs wearing diapers? Thanks for the glimpse into your bio.

3. Thanks, everyone
She is a good dog, and very bright.

I have a cat, also. I was very worried about how they would get along, especially since my cat is a real scaredy-cat. We set up a little baby gate on the 2nd bedroom door, and put the cat stuff in there, to give her a safe place from the dog. I figured she would hide out there all day. But no, instead she's queen of the apartment. If the dog gets anywhere near, out come the claws. Sometimes she even chases the dog around. It's very surprising, and hilarious to watch. But generally they get along much better than either of us anticipated.

The faceoff:

4. Nice crib
And a cute pup. Diapers? Really?

I don't see any priller photographs on the wall. Whatsup with that?

5. I'm trying to figure out how I want to show my photos.
I'm kind of bored with framed photos. Been looking around for alternative ways to display them. Plus I've been so busy lately I haven't really had time to think about it.
