Denali sunrise
Our day in the park yesterday was phenomenal. We couldn't have asked for better weather. I've got a lot of pictures to sort through and tweak, but I just wanted to post a couple of quickies for you all.

1. Just happend' by
You must have just posted these. You've already came and went?

When exactly is sunrise? Is that like 2 in the afternoon for us non-Alaska folk?

Love the light in the first one. Magical. And I always dig when the mtns are higher than the clouds. Hope you post more. Give us a narrative. Describe Denali in 300 words or less.
:hi:

2. Sunrise this time of year is about 7:30
We left Anchorage at 4:30 a.m. That's how we managed to be up there in time.

Let's see, 300 words or less

Magnificent
Majestic
Breathtaking
Awe-inspiring
Humbling
Uplifting

Those are just a few. I kept saying to HullBoss all day, "I just can't find the words to describe this," so you're challenging me. :) Really, although I took a LOT of photos, I couldn't even begin to capture this amazing place. And to think we caught it when the weather was good -- we couldn't be more lucky. The mountain is only visible about 40% of the time because it makes its own weather up there and often the summit is obscured by clouds at the base, even when the skies are clear all around, so we feel like we REALLY won the lottery.

But.... "A picture is worth a...." so I think you went over 300.

With all the places you've been in Alaska, if this one really hit you it must have been (insert your words here)

Now stop distracting me so I can get this contest up with out to many mistakes.
