1. Dang
I voted for Sunset Cypress as an entry, and now that I see it with mine in the Submissions thread, I'm totally outclassed!

2. You, sir, have a true photography talent
I am just a neophyte in the realm of world-class photography such as yours

3. Well, that's just crazy now
My M.O. is: set exposure time and f-stop, focus as well as my lousy eyesight permits, press the shutter, and pray. In this case, it seems I shoulda prayed harder...:)

I think Sunset Cypress is going to do well for itself.

4. My title has some nasty irony in it
It was taken the week before the November elections, 2004 -- and in Ohio. I decided to name it "Glory Before the Fall."

5. I love that photo
and the title makes it even more appealing. I have prisms in my glasses and photos like that become three dimensional. The jump right out of the screen. It's weird and cool at the same time.

8. I blame my jr high art teacher
She had us drawing trees from day one and to this day (almost 30 years later) I still have a thing for leafless trees. Occasionally I'll show one of my tree photos to someone and they'll ask,"Did you have Miss Hoal as an art teacher?" And I'll say yes and they say that they can tell. Everyone in this town from about 30 years old to 60 that's really into art was influenced or taught by her.

This was my other choice for an entry but athe last minute I went with the more abstract one.

9. I resized the my image on photo bucket .
But it's not coming out that way. Photo buckets says it's 600x800 - 127 K) but I'm seeing it the old way.

12. I'm glad it's an okay size.
What a tough choice this one was for me.
Being in New England this time of year it was so hard to decide which tree picture. We are having early foliage this year and there is so much color everywhere already.

11. It is fine on my computer.
Sounds like you are having the same problem ITF had. I think it is more a problem with how it shows on yours. But it is 800x600 and well under 200k and looks beautiful.

13. I'm glad it's okay.
I have endless tree pictures and I should have had a poll about it.

This one is going to be another hard one by the way all the photos look so far.

14. I think you chose well, without seeing any of
the others. There are only two winter pics, yours and Mrs.V's and both are very different while being very good. This is going to be a tough contest on the voters and I am beginning to worry about ties.

15. Dangit
You should all be thankful that I didn't enter my tree snap. It would have sucked up every vote in the Lounge. :silly:

Great variety of tree photos. Good luck everyone!!!

17. You??!! A registered "Tree Hater"
:)

I really didn't know what I was going to go with. Probably this because no one else entered one "like" it. Everyone else, including you, took my ideas. :-(

...I think that, if you had entered that one, it would have been the winner.

...I still think yours would have won!

20. Be glad I didn't enter my alternate choice, either...
It would have been titled The Forest Primeval.

22. I think I'd title that ...
.... "Driven up a Tree" ... or, even more sardonically, "Back To Nature, not Nurture."

:silly:
