3. Proud to be #2.
I heart my D50.

(But between you and me, I'm thinking about breaking up with it and going out with a new Rebel XTi instead, but lets keep that on the DL ;))

5. Every time I have enough money for a new computer or new
camera, my car breaks down, or I have to spend my life savings for doctor bills.

4. Actually, the top nine...
...since the Digital Rebel and the 350D are the same camera, sold under different names in different parts of the world.

13. The Digital Rebel is the 300D
Original one, anyway.

300D = 6 megapixel
350D = 8

I didn't see anything about shooting RAW images. I may have missed it.

9. I don't think it does RAW any more
Looks like Canon made a decision to keep RAW only in their DSLR line.

8. Phone cams ??!!??
Of course, the data may be skewed, since some users might unknowingly be stripping off EXIF data from their photos before uploading to Flickr (say, if the photos were resized using an editor that didn't save the EXIF along with the resized image). Also, notice that Sony cameras are marked by “CYBERSHOT,” and not by exact model–likely, photos were taken with phone-cams.

Guess that makes sense. Quite of few of those things around now.

The top 10 list at Pbase is a little more one-sided. This is actual users/accounts and not number of posted pics. I wasn't sure how the flickr list was determined. But isn't pbase older? That would explain why the 300D is #1.
:shrug:

Canon 300D
Nikon D70
Canon 20D
Canon 10D
Canon Powershot S400
Canon Powershot S230
Canon Powershot A70
Canon Powershot S100
Canon Powershot G2
Canon Powershot A40

11. It could be they are not ditching them, deciding it is good
enough for the internet.

12. DD has a Sony Cybershot
with a Carl Zeiss lens, I swear that damn thing takes comparable photos to my 20D! (Maybe it's the operator?) I thought about getting one for those lazy times when I don't feel like dragging all the Canon stuff around.

I like the modular quality of the Leica digital SLR camera. You can use the same camera for digital and film photography. Old an new lenses are interchangeable. Most important You can simply replace the digital back when it is time to upgrade.

I bought a Nikon D200 and took it back. It is difficult to justify spending that kind of money on a disposable body. I have the same problem with the high end Canon DSLR cameras. The D80 was a good compromise but it would not be rugged enough for daily professional use.

It is very annoying that I can not use DSLR Nikon lenses on my older Nikon film bodies.
