3. Great job exploiting the morning light
Wonderful color & great compositions.

And that's some fine looking produce, too!

5. Thanks, All.
I love this little lens (Nikon 50mm F1.8D AF).
The "sensor factor" makes it a 75mm equivalent.
It is light, fast, and sharp. It looks like a toy on the front of my camera.
It is very inconspicuous in crowds, easy to get candid portraits. Not near as intrusive or noticable as a long lens.
People rarely seem to even notice.
It is so light, I can easily shoot one handed.

The camera feels like a feather after lugging around a big zoom.

For less than $100, this lens has to be the best bargain anywhere.

6. I'm blind again
:(

Sumtin' bout your pics and my puter'. I even went lappin' and I had the same problem. Totally blind. It may be the way I reconfigured the router thingee. I honestly don't know.

Do you embed anything additional in your jpegs other than the usual camera EXIF?

Frustrating. Very frustrating.

I haven't changed anything in my settings for over a year, and my host site hasn't notified me of any changes.

Try "Right Click" on the red "X", and select "View Picture" from the menu.

If that doesn't work,
To test the router, temporarily unplug your network cable from the router, and plug in directly to the modem (IOW, eliminate the router). I don't think this is the problem.

I use FireFox, but keep a working copy of IE. I opened IE, went to DU, and was able to see my own pics in IE.

There are some settings in IE under the "Tools" menu:
"Internet Options":

*On the "Privacy" Tab, select "Medium".

*Under the "Advanced" tab, make sure that there is a check in the box for "Show Pictures", though if you can see other pictures, that should already be checked.

OR

You can go here:
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

and click the button that says "Download Firefox".
The Firefox install is effortless and fully automatic.

10. Spent most of the day workin' on this problem
In between normal work and stuff. Started out with an error message from Windows... "Dude, we corrected a real serious problem... blah blah blah... " My network/FIRE!!!wall just wouldn't let me see your pics. Before I just made some changes but then Windows totally freaked out and my FIRE!!!wall kept "correcting" what it saw as a mistake on my part.

It just wasn't your pics. There were some benign websites that it wouldn't let me go to. Everything is setup on IE, including all the network crap. I have to keep it fairly secure because I do direct access of remote servers and I need to keep the annoying little repuke neighbor kids from trying to tap in and get free internets :eyes:.

Long story long... I fixed it. I can see your pics and the annoying little repuke neighbor kids are going to have to find some other network to use for downloading nekid' pixs of Paris Hilton.

I was really bummed that I couldn't see your pics. Always look forward to your photos and this batch certainly didn't disappoint. Love how you captured such beautiful images using dawns light. The peppers shot is one of my faves.

If I was forced to get rid of all my crap and only keep ONE lens it would be a toss up between my 50mm f/1.4 and my Lens Baby :P (which is also 50mm).

7. Sunshine, what a concept!
August has been pretty much of a washout here in Germany. I hear an Indian summer is coming next month. Not holding my breath...

Nice pictures. I'll have to go to the Viktualien Markt in the morning when the sun comes out again.

8. Beautiful
The lighting is fabulous. Can't miss with that low level early morning or late afternoon lighting.

11. Love the color of the tomatoes.
Very dramatic.

Good shots. One of the bad things about sleeping until ten AM is that I miss that great morning light.
