Since I'm on dial up, I rarely read this group.
Occaisonially, I capture an image I'd like
to get some kudos.
Here's one.

I call it Right Time, Right Place.

1. That is definitely a right time,
right place and right photographer to capture it. Great photo.

3. That's a great photo
It would be even more wonderful if you could magically remove the power lines. But it is still a great shot.

4. Hi, Ptah.
I love your sunflowers. I haven't said anything before, but I always admire them in the Lounge. Good job.

6. Thanks for the compliment.
I sneak in to the monthly contest at lunch at work.

I wish I had the time to slowly browse through
all the good stuff posted in this group.

:hi:

7. Very sweet! You are right to ask for kudos. Post some more?
I like not only the flower/sky colors, but also the way the (sun?)flower and telephone poles make a 3 and also contrast with each other, and furthermore give a sense a place, as well as a strong diagoonal.

to hear one of her students receives your comments.
She taught me the basics.
I worked with her in a flower shop when I was 12 or 13.
I try to remember her instructions to keep it simple.
Here's a picture she painted in 1962

9. Cool.
Not only that, but the exposure is great. I was just reading about a thing called dragging the shutter, last night. It's where even though you use flash, the background is not overpowered.

What I like about this is how we obviously appreciate the special beauty and moments in life.

11. "Day of the Triffids"
What an awesome photo. What else can I say? Plenty:::

Great composition, balance, lighting, exposure.... stirred my imagination hence the "Triffids" thing.

12. If I'd taken that, it'd be framed and hanging on my wall.
That's really a remarkable photo. Leave the power lines and poles. They enhance the truth of it. At the very most, I'd crop it just a little on the bottom (house light) and right (empty), but very little and with trepidation - it's stunning the way it is.

I've got an 8 x 11 printed and waiting
for a frame.

Thanks.

I had thought sad, but shy is better!

Thanks.
