2. I hear that! And I've seen some stunning work here also.

But it is instructive to try to figure out how those images were accomplished, as well as a nice tribute to what our hiking trails can reveal.

7. I don't...!!!

Don't get me wrong -- there are some nice photos there. But I see few that strike me as so drastically better than work that's been posted here as to be in a different league altogether. Maybe one or two shots, but that's about it. And those only spur me on to create images that can match or surpass theirs.

Personally, I think the folks here in the Photo Group are more-than-capable of creating images equal to those on that site...or even better.

3. I see photos like that and I feel like spending $$$

on new glass, and going out to shoot for hours, experimenting with my camera. I wish that these photographers would have listed the technical info for their pictures. Beautiful shots...

I looked at this late last night and I thought it read Trails Ass (and) Photo Contest. Knew it was time to shutoff all systems.

I agree with priller downthread.. one that didn't "win" top honors was definitely my fave.
