3. The flower is a Maypop or a native variety of passion flower.
It will grow just about anywhere in the US and it is very prolific. It needs to be planted where a lawn mower will control it's spread. The fruit is edible but I haven't tried it. Makes a great cover for fences, trellis or anything that gives it some vertical surface.

Here in N Texas it dies to the ground in winter and comes back in spring.

4. Only the Shadow knows . . .
Your passion flower is a slightly different variety than mine. The colors are a little different. My favorite variety is a bit more delecate and hasn't come back from winter freeze. I'll keep trying to find a variety that will survive.

5. Gorgeous! I think we have similar tastes!
Sadly, one of these was going to be my 'texture' pic; might have to rethink that.;)

6. Were the dew drops there or did you put them there with a spray
bottle? I usu sally carry a mister with me to add that feeling of freshness to flowers and plants.

I had a college professor tell me that snap shooters "take" pictures, photographers "make" them. Many times nature can use a little help . . .

7. No, I took the pic right after watering, which I have to do every
day or every other day around here. The thermometer is currently reading 109. I'm SO ready for fall!

8. Ready for fall? You and me both Sister. I'm in the DFW area
and it's been up to 107. Thirty days above 100. Lawn looks like someplace in North Africa and I'm watering every other day.

I've got a few other photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/65111465@N00/

I'm just getting back into photography after a long lapse. Most of those are from a different lifetime.
