WooHoo!! I finally have internet in Mississippi!!

usedtobesick and I have been down here going on three weeks, but have just now been able to move into our house (which was undergoing renovations not related at all to hurricane damage). We've been staying in a FEMA trailer (yes, everything you've heard about them sucking is true and more). I've been using coffee shops to get online, but since most of my job at this point is reading and responding to emails, I would have gone broke buying enough coffee to keep me online long enough to play on DU. (Not to mention I never would have slept if I drank that much coffee--either from the caffeine or from having to pee. :P )

So I won't be around that much for a while yet, still have major unpacking to do, but at least I will be able to submit something to the August contest. Now I just have to find the time to search for a suitable entry...

Anyway, nice to be back. I missed you all! :hi:

No time to search for texture shots down here in time for submission. :( I have some texture shots from Mississippi already, but they're pretty depressing subjects. I'm looking forward to having some time in September to go play with my camera.

8. I'll be back in Colorado in October.

Only for a few days, but I'm hoping for at least a short jaunt into the foothills to shoot some turning aspens. Then again in January. So at least I won't experience total mountain withdrawal this next year. In the meantime, I'm sure I'll see sights to shoot down here. :)

Guess we'll never do that snaparoo thing and I don't see myself ever visiting the great state of Mississippi before I take the long nap, so...... you'll never have a chance to play with a couple of my check book suckin' lenses.:P
