Seafair - Blue Angels
I didn't stay for the fireworks, but I did see the daytime air shows and some of the hydroplane races. I was hoping for a shot of the Blue Angels streaking across Mt. Rainier, but Saturday was a bit too hazy in the distance. On Sunday the mountain was gorgeous, but, alas, I only got to glance at it as I drove across the bridge.

The boats:

The Patriots:

The Blue Angels (and Fat Albert, their cargo plane):

1. excellent, thanks.
I've always loved air shows and, for that brief time, I can forget that these amazing machines are instruments of war.

2. Great snaps
I miss Seafair. Grew up in Seattle, loved to head out for the hydro races every year.

Love airshows, too. If you've never seen that big C-130 do a RATO (rocket assist take-off) you've missed something... they strap these one-shot rockets to the beast, light 'em off, and it takes off in like three feet of runway.

3. I really like (counting fingers) .. the 4th one
Haven't been to an Air Show in years. Your great photos make me want to go again. Think the Thunderbirds(?) show up round' here each year. You must have been shootin' fast. I don't see much prop movement. Looks like the engines are shut off... especially on that last one.
