1. These are really great, RadFem...
I kind of miss the zoo experience. We have a small zoo here in Anchorage, but most of the animals are Alaska natives, except for the two Siberian tigers. I guess it's too cold up here for the more exotic tropical guys. We do have an elephant, Maggie, but people from Outside have been hounding us relentlessly to send her out to an elephant farm somewhere so she can get more exercise and have company since her friend Annabelle died a few years ago. The zoo has gone so far as to purchase a giant elephant treadmill for her, but she doesn't seem to have taken to it too well. (I don't blame her - I'm not a big treadmill fan myself. LOL.)

2. I just love the facial expressions of the
gorilla in this thread, and the two large apes in the other thread. I know one is an orangutan, but I'm not sure what the other one is.

3. The apes were my fave too
There are two gorillas in this thread, then two orangutans and a chimp in the other thread. That orangutan that had his face pressed to the glass was so cute. He stayed like that the entire time we were there, so we sat down and talked to him. He really wanted some company!

4. The first gorilla shot here is a great photo
And such a good character study it should qualify for the contest! Maybe the theme should be expanded to Primates (Showing Their Personality)!

Same goes for the orangutan in your first thread.

Nicely done.

6. You know I never noticed
it would be you that would notice that, NV Whino. ;) I kind of thought the elephants in the background were cool.
