1. I Heart Candid Wedding Photos

I've never looked through a wedding book of "pro" shots where genuine expression was anywhere to be found.

2. I was *VERY* focused on Kristie.

Whatever positive impression of her personality that comes through is but a hint of what a terrific human being she is. A graduate in Art Education from CMU, she'll be doing her practice teaching in the fall semester in Africa. Her and David are honeymooning in South America - rafting the Amazon and trekking Machu Picchu. There's not an ounce of pretense in her - smart, diligent, funny(!), adventurous, loving, graceful - more positive character attributes than a whole sorority of average gals. She's almost as comfortable as a "girlie girl" as she is "tomboy" but defies any type. It's rare, in my experience, to see someone so young as comfortable in her own skin as she is - and what lovely skin it is. It's great to have her join my family.

4. A new first cousin. She's really awesome, imho.

She's real - and "present." It's very unusual in my experience to see someone so young with that emotional health. (I wish I could capture that in a photo.)

Here's her happy groom (my late uncle's younger son). He deserves someone as nice as her.
