1. Flags are a good theme
Here is the one I think I will use. Kind of a similar theme to yours, I think. The noble eagle is turning its back on the tattered flag, as if not wanting to be associated with it anymore. ... Or I guess a more optimistic way you could look at it is they're both tending "left," which is most definitely a good thing. :)

3. This is really moving, Blue-In-AK
It's a beautiful image, and it kinda hits you in the solar plexus.

4. Thank you, Jeff...
I love Homer, Alaska, where my brother lives and where this picture was taken. There's an old lady down there who's been feeding the eagles in the winter for about 20 years and there are hundreds of them gathered there. This picture just begged to be taken - I shot it right out of the passenger side of our truck.

5. Around here
It's excitement just to see a crow, especially after West Nile drove them out a couple of years ago.

Every now and then a hawk decides to fly over the area, but we'd have a better chance of seeing a flying saucer than an eagle.

6. I'm probably going to use a flag shot, too.

8. You mean to get the flag billowing correctly?
Yeah, I definitely took a lot. :)

Luckily, the panathenaic stadium (where I was standing when I took the picture) was right next to my school, so I spent a lot of time there.
