1. Nice...
We've driven past there so many times on Highway 1 and have seen the castle up on the hill, but have never driven back there. It looks pretty impressive.

3. It's a great place to visit!
There are four different tours because the place is so huge! Well worth the time to go :hi:

2. Very nice
I like the way the light green tree stands out in the top picture, and the dark wood in the bottom picture draws your attention but doesn't overwhelm the picture. It looks like an interesting place to take pictures!

4. Thanks! And, YES...great place to take pics!

I had a lot of fun taking shots there. However, it's a NO FLASH zone, so best to have a camera and/or film that can take low light photos.

on edit:

Re: first photo
It was foggy, so it was a good time to get some great shots with the low cloud cover.
Thanks for your input :hi:

5. Wow. I love that first shot
It's so ethereal. And I love the fact that it's on an angle. Makes it even "etherealer."

There were tour groups passing by at different levels, so took the shot for best possible for little finished cropping.

Thanks for your response! :hi: Much appreciated!

7. These are very nice
Hearst Castle pics and different from the norm. And I have been there, one of the places on my one trip to CA. The castle is beautiful with so many things I wanted to take pictures of. Though it is a no flash, no tripod area. We were there on a bright sunny day so I dod get a few indoor shots. Also took two of the tours and love hearing the stories. You did a good job of avoiding the people and get great pics.
