Canon A610. Anyone have any experience?
I just bought a Nikon N80 SLR and wanted to get an inexpensive digital to round out my options in the field. I know it's a new model but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this camera.
Thanks

1. Well...
...this site has a rave review of the 610's smaller brother, the 520, as the best inexpensive digital around. I would assume the 610, distinguishable mainly by a higher pixel count, wouldn't be any worse...

2. I think the 610 is Canons replacement for the A95.
One difference I know of between 610 and the 520 is the angled viewing screen. I think that could be as much an advantage as it may be a disadvantage, ie. something else to break.

3. If you have Nikon lenses, why not go with
a D50?

4. I can't afford to spend that much..
I just bought the Nikon N80 and still want to be able to spring for a 70 - 300 mm lens. I wanted to get something reasonably priced in a digital camera's that would still allow me to manually set exposures. As far as I can tell maybe I ought to look at the 520.

that situation.
