The Strathmore
While we lose a classical music station, WETA, we gain an amazing new performance venue just north of Washington, D.C. in Montgomery County, Maryland. The new performance hall is supposed to have some of the best acoustics on the East Coast, and is architecturally quite amazing.

the following groups are resident:

BSO at Strathmore (Baltimore Symphony, which plays here as a second venue)
National Philharmonic
Washington Performing Arts Society
Levine School of Music
CityDance Ensemble
Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras

shows a good picture of the exterior.

1. I just performed there
with National Philharmonic.

What a sensational hall! It's far superior to the Kennedy Center Concert Hall and the Schlesinger Theater, and comparable to Meyerhoff.

As for WETA, I spit on them.
