a bit worried. I just started a new job so there's some stress there. And of course having to play trial and error with another, likely scarier, mood stabilizer is making me nervous.

Please cross your fingers I can find the right med for my bpII without dealing with the scary side effects. :(

1. Fingers crossed.
I had never heard of Lamictal so I looked it up and I must say that is the most complex med I've ever seen, if the website I was reading was correct about everything.(http://www.crazymeds.org/lamictal.html).

Sorry to hear that you got a rash and had to stop it. That rash was discussed in that web site and it sounded like it could become dangerous if you don't stop the meds once the rash starts, so I'm glad you're off of it now.

2. Hello
I have just started on Lamictal and if I experience this many side effects on a drug which supposedly has little as compared to other mood stabilizers, then I am in for a hell of a ride. Dry mouth, foggy thinking, insomnia, and now possibly hair loss *eep* and not even two weeks yet...

Best of luck on your journey to find a decent med.

3. My son has been on Lamictal for almost two years
He hasn't experienced any of the side effects, although I'm not sure how much it has helped him. His doctor thinks it's the best medication of its kind on the market.
