1. I voted, but that poll is going to
be freeped. The wingnuts are beside themselves. The interesting thing is that while they're pouncing on Kerry's comments, they're is also disdain growing among them for Lieberman since he called for Rummy's head.

2. the far right was probably not going to go for joe, anyway
But I understand that CT has more independents than anything else--and that's who he wants. But a lot can happen between now and November.

3. That is funny - can that leave Lieberman with no one
I dislike the AOL title - because it is not what Kerry said. After Lieberman has all but said that Lamont is helping the terrorists (and by inference I quess Kerry he thinks Kerry is too.), I think Kerry's comments were fair. He called Lieberman on his outrageous comments AND his position on the war.

I posted in DU-P before seeing this. The results didn't look freeped as the AOL base is more Republican and 43% agreed with Kerry - So if RW freeping is happening - the normal people are likely in agreement with Kerry. (Oddly what it is possibily doing is linking Cheney and Lieberman.)

5. After the election,
Lieberman was so condescending and arrogant in all his statements. Suddenly today, he decides he needs to stress that he is a solid Democrat, which is clearly aimed at Democrats now that he realizes he needs them. Why didn't he do this before the election? If Lieberman didn't need Democratic support, he would not have chosen this moment to call for Rumsfeld's resignation. Anyway, he is still as you say, being dismissive of Lamont and mis-characterizing what transpired: he was challenged and lost!

6. All true - and it surely has to be too little, too late
to think that now calling on Rumsfeld to resign helps is pathetic. I would guess it may be because he is not confident of winning. But his Iraq position is the same and he is still bashing Democrats.

4. Every poll on AOL gets
freeped.

The headline should read "IMO Kerry called Lieberman a new Cheney". These reporters are horrible.

7. Can someone please tell me
how to find these aol polls? I used to vote in them, then, one day, I go to the link, the poll is not there.

I asked someone on another board where is the poll. they said below the picture. There was no picture for me.

I tried several times after that, no poll.

I see all of you saying you voted, but, there is no poll for me.

So, I thought maybe I have to sign up on aol. I sign up, go to the link, it shows my screen name as signed in....NO poll.

Anyone have any idea why I still can't access the poll?

12. Browser settings?
Images or javascript turned off?

Those are the first things that come to mind.

9. This is tough to fight. All the conservatives will vote against Kerry and
there are still some Democrats out there that will stand by Joe.

I voted but it is like a drop in the ocean.

10. Some one on DU-P noted that they stop changing
the percents at some point - just increasing the count. This may be true - I returned to it several times and the percents NEVER changed - while the count increased significantly - that they never ever even briefly changed may indicate this is true.

I agree that the RW would vote against Kerry even if he found a magic solution to world peace and got every country and terrorist group to buy in. The funny thing is that only the Lieberman Democrats should be against it.

- If the RW REALLY believed that Cheney was wonderful, the comment is a compliment to Lieberman. (Consider if someone says a musician is the "New Elvis" -it's not an insult.) So, they should AGREE with Kerry.

- For Democrats against staying the course, the Lieberman and Cheney comments were pretty similar.

11. The fine print about the AOL poll, does say that results
are not updated immediately.

This might be just their way of running a crooked poll.
