A little props, unless you think I was ill advised to do so:

Here's Kos's POS post:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/8/9/151943/0781#c231

Pertinent part:

During the Democratic Primary, leaks indicated Rove was relishing a Howard Dean candidacy. In reality, he feared an opponent that would offer a clear distinction to Bush.

"The good news for us is that Dean is not the nominee," Rove now argued to an associate in his second-floor West Wing office. Dean's unconditional opposition to the Iraq war could have been potent in a face-off with Bush. "One of Dean's strengths, though, was he could say, I'm not part of that crowd down there."

I can't find the cite now, but I've read how Rove exhulted after Kerry said, at the Grand Canyon, that knowing what he knew then, he still would have invaded Iraq. He knew at that point they were going to win because Kerry had failed to offer a clear distinction with Bush on one of the key issues of the day.

And, here is my comment:

3. Thanks, DemDiva
Also saw a poster named "Natural Anthem" (who is less partisan than me on Kerry, but still fair) who had a good comment after you. Guess we have to keep voicing our opinions, and then others will feel braver to join in.

7. No, he won't ban you. Why do you think I bother with him?
It's community troll rated, and you're not a troll, so there is no way he can ban you. And if we give you all props, you're good.

That's why I always compliment his site, because I really like how it works -- WAY better than DU (Rules, infinity) and HuffPost (Trusted User censorship).

You definitely got him below the belt. Good one!!

4. I wrote this one:
Perhaps Democrats have learned after the '04 (0 / 0)

the Dean meltdown and inability to hold his supporters in the primaries and the swiftboating episode in the general election.

It's nice to know that both Dean and Kerry are both in the fight and have both very strongly come out against Bush and his agenda. I think they both learned something about fighting back and staying in the game.

5. Kos fears Kerry!
Plain and simple. Notice that he wrote an article criticizing Hillary Clinton, but still mentions her every chance he gets. He only mentions Kerry to spin lies. If Kos was anything but a petty little jerk, he wouldn't selectively edit Kerry out of every positive post, similar to what he did this morning with the congrats to Lamont.

8. OMG he's bashing Max Cleland
What a little scumball. I used to be rather ambivalent about Kos, but having seen him on tv a few times, I really can't stand the little twirp. Does anybody actually know anybody at all like him??? I sure don't. He's the worst possible face of the Dem Party we could have.

I didn't read your post. I saw the words "Max Cleland" and I went crazy.

Failed to offer distinctions my ass! Max Cleland is a living distinction to Saxby Chambliss. Chambliss has to go down in 2008. I know you feel the same way, kos.

And I hope Cleland comes back to do it too.

he offers distinctions. In 2002 he voted for most of the Bush agenda.

He was a distinction then. (0 / 0)
He wants a fight now.

I won't give you any more trouble because I know where you'll be in 2008 on Chambliss.

I don't know if Cleland'll run again. If he does he's got my money and my time.

by Me on Wed Aug 09, 2006 at 01:11:33 PM PDT

I'm not an expert on Max Cleland in the Senate -- "voted for most of the Bush agenda"? Is that true, or has Kos already jumped the shark less than 24 hours after what should have been a nice "feather in his cap" moment. He seems to think he's God now and can go after Cleland -- you can't go after him -- most Dems have a great affection for him. Hmmm . . . Kos knows that Max supports Kerry for '08, so that's why he's doing this.

I would still have voted to authorize." He said "yes" to a reporter's question. He thought he was answering the same old question and he gave the same old answer. "Yes, it was the right vote, because I believe it was the right authority for a President to have." The reporter didn't phrase the question at all, actually, she referenced a challenge that Bush had made on Air Force One that morning asking Kerry to state, would he have voted the same way knowing what he knows now. The reporter never used thos ewords, she only referenced the challenge, and Kerry--not knowing anything about the challenge said, "Yes, it was the right vote, the right authority for a President to have."

A day later Kerry announced that, had he known Bush would go ahead with the invasion of Iraq and disregard the UN and close allies, he would NOT have voted for the IWR.

Look at these people! They suck each other! They eat each other's saliva and dirt! -- Tsonga people of southern Africa on Europeans kissing.

Pretty sad when liberal bloggers continue (0 / 0)
to repeat RW Karl Rove talking points. I live near the shore, and there ain't a damn thing wrong or elitist with windsurfing -- it's not yachting for chrissakes, and sure has more of a purpose then cutting wood (why is THAT so cool anyway?).

What I know best about Teresa is how good she is for her husband. Isn't that what's most important is that you marry the person you love who will be there for you through thick and thin? Or do you think a politician can't even own their private life either, and should only make marriage an alliance? That's the irony -- people thinking JK married THK for her money, when if you could have seen a clip from that "Inside the Bubble" movie where Sen. Kerry got to see his wife on the eve of the election after many days of separation, and captured from afar, the camera spies him embracing, hugging, and kissing her, obviously so happy to be with her . . . .

People like him and Moore using the Lamont victory of Lieberman last night to make Democrats their whipping boys, and I jsut "love" how Moore mentions the Republicans in Congress in a "p.s" at the end of his letter even though only a handful of Republicans in Congress were against the Iraq War. What they should be doing instead of stroking their already big egos, they should be thanking the voters in the primary yesterday but no they have to do this bs just so they can say again I was right about Iraq, John Kerry kicked my dog, and I am the best thing ever to happen to the Democratic Party even though in Moore's case he campaigned for the guy who enabled Bush in the first place. Sorry, I am just frustrated politically, don't mind me. Regarding Kos I sincerely think the only reason he really feels that Dean should have been the nominee is that he would have gotten more money because Dean was paying him as an advisor or something like that and that's no secret. He's a hack and he knows it so he finds whipping boys to make himself feel better. Ive said it before but if I ever run for office, I ain't going on Kos, no, way.

God the dude is such a bastard and now I see he was bashing Cleland too. So I am looking up info on him and there was a Washington Monthly magazine report on him and Kos responds to it on Kos and someone get this actually says the article was a DLC hatchet job. Are these people paranoid? Christ in a weird way now I want there to be the ultimate DLC president just so these people could see the DLC does not equal the Republicans, oh wait we had this an dhis name was Bill Clinton and everyone right now is nostlagic for that.

15. Kos lies refuted
I started with a brief reply at Kos and went on to make a larger post at Liberal Values:

http://liberalvaluesblog.com/?p=17

I included old posts showing what Kerry really said, what Bush really said, and how Kos is repeating the same lies he told in the past.

There's lots of info on Kerry's position on the war which people here might find useful in responding to this type of claim.
