Michael Moore linking Kerry Edwards to Lieberman in GD
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2767100&mesg_id=2767100

This is such bs!!!!!! Thanks so much for being a democratic "supporter" Michael Moore...jeez

Nearly every Democrat set to run for president in 2008 is responsible for this war. They voted for it or they supported it. That single, stupid decision has cost us 2,592 American lives and tens of thousands of Iraqi lives. Lieberman and Company made a colossal mistake -- and we are going to make sure they pay for that mistake. Payback time started last night.

I realize that there are those like Kerry and Edwards who have now changed their position and are strongly anti-war. Perhaps that switch will be enough for some to support them. For others, like me -- while I'm glad they've seen the light -- their massive error in judgment is, sadly, proof that they are not fit for the job. They sided with Bush, and for that, they may never enter the promised land.

1. i guess he didn't learn from his support of Nader which resulted in Bush
and he doesn't give a shit about withdrawal either. if he did then he would focus on that rather than being worried about a vote which made no difference in what Bush would do.

he is such a phony ass prick. didn't listen to anything the candidates said either.

it's one thing if he wants to vote for someone who didn't vote for the IWR, but it's another to just make up shit and ignore all the things people have said to show they do differ with Bush.

and if one wants to be honest, they would admit Bush would have went into Iraq no matter what. but if Gore was in office and people like Moore had not been whoring for Nader in 2000 we would not be in Iraq. it goes back to 2000 elections.

5. But there was no difference between Gore and Bush
Seriously the world would be totally different if people like Moore hadn't enabled Bush the White House. Gore would have won at least two more states: New Hampshire and Florida if Nader hadn't rub and raised his total in other states. SeriouslyI do get a kick out of Moore's films but the guy is in my opinion very self righteous.

7. I think his movies are annoying too

I also have reason to believe that Mr. Moore is a Kossiak. .... I guess this is also not surprising.

2. Well, this is a good thing for Kerry and Edwards
They can now claim to be both anti-Iraq War AND Michael Moore hates them. Look, anytime Michael Moore comes out with a new film, curiosity will get me to the theater to see it as he really is a talented film director. However, politically speaking, he is the kiss of death (didn't he embarrass Wes Clark in '04?). I have heard this viewpoint before from lefties -- they have their man -- Russ Feingold (as well as single issue gay marriage advocates). That's fine, but it's not enough of a plurality to win the nomination. Blue collar types, who apparently voted for Lieberman yesterday, have a voice, too, and they're not that far left.

3. Yeah ... I guess it is a good thing
You're right...he is the political kiss of death.

It's still frustrating to see him linking Lieberman's loss to their loss or whatever he was trying to say. That guy is ridiculous.

9. So is he now taking credit for Lieberman's loss?
Frankly, I feel it was Kerry's turning so against the war and his pushing our party to gain some clarity that contributed to Lieberman loosing along with the great people of CT that have had enough of the same old politics.
Moore is an asshole and should just shut up. He does us more harm than good with average Americans.

10. hmm...that's interesting. i hadn't thought of it that way
but I think you might be right. Kerry Feingold was supported by far more americans then senators. I think the defeat of Kerry Feingold (and the Levin Amendment too) only fueled the fire.

19. How many times is this comiing up today?
It seems like there are claims all over that Kerry supported the war.

I just compiled so info on this in response to Kos, but it also applies to the attacks from others:

Buchanan : "Michael Moore is the best news Karl Rove has gotten since Patrick Fitzgerald gave him that clean bill of health"

When we agree with Pat Buchanan, something has gone very very wrong!!!!!!!!!!!
