Snarky, nasty comments at Blue Mass Group
http://www.bluemassgroup.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=3043

Any Mass people have a membership here to set these stupid fuckers straight? They're comparing JK to Lieberman and saying he needs someone to "Lamont" him. How fucking stupid and out of touch. Seriously, it's people like this that make me glad to be from a more rural, moderate area - because there, we APPRECIATE our liberals. We don't stab them in the back.

Not that there aren't tons of Mass people who love JK (I've met several of them)... but still. There's no excuse for the self-absorbed phony-progressive circle-jerking these asshats engage in.

Fuck these cocksuckers. :grr:

1. Most have the honesty to say they never liked him
which kind of diminishes there credibility. Tay, Whome, Mass, Rox were these the 2 % or so who voted for the the LW candidate in 2002? The only interesting comment was that Romney talking universal coverage can shift the debate. (although Bush's drug plan didn't.)

2. I am not surprised
The Greens were planning to run someone against Paul Wellstone in 2002. But I have to say fuck em. Seriously, these people make me wanna puke. When someone doesn't kiss their feet and call them god, they get pissy and such. Christ I've said it before but I would be happy to have even the most conservative Democrat as my senator other than George Allen. Some people just don't live in a place normal people call reality. It makes me happy to be from a more moderate area too. We don't take what we got for granted unlike these douchebags.

3. Let's see: Who is the epitome of stubborn, calculated, BS?
Bush! These a-holes can go team up with him and Santorum. I have no time for these spoilers who sit and spin crap into BS. The Green Party is on my permanent shit list! They sit around and scream (pretentiously) that there is no negotiating (funny how the LW found merit in negotiation when it came to Hezbollah), then they turn around and negotiate with the friggin GOP. They can keep their precious agenda to themselves, the self-righteous jerks.

5. I'll make a deal with them if the want to get rid of JK so badly.
I'll trade them my two "Senators" for their taller Senator. Seems like a fair trade to me.

7. Hey no fair
To be fair though your senators do suck more because Johnny Warner has some good things going for him.

6. Haven't gone over there yet.
I will later. I never read that site because they have their heads permanently wedged up their asses. But if they don't have an appreciation by now of who JK really is, nothing I say will change their stupid minds. Unfortunately.

8. The comments are disengenuous
And snarky, which fit the Mass Liberal profile. They tried to find someone to run against Kerry on the grounds that he wasn't 'liberal' enough before (like in 2002). Even if they did find a proven fundraiser who could garner statewide support while running on a 'I'm more liberal than Kerry' ticket, they would lose. The Commonwealth is Blue, but it is not uniformly liberal (and is actually getting less so.)

Lamont is a phenomenon that is local to Connecticut. There are no parallels to Massachusetts. But there will always be snark from the left on Kerry, but they rarely do anything with it. They certainly have no track record in actually winning much in the way of elections because the lefty freeper, 'I'm right and you're stupid' vibe tends to turn people off who don't live in the very blue corridors.

Most people do not like to be called stupid. That this eludes so many lefty freepers is an ongoing marvel. Politics, like it or not, is about maneuvering between factions and trying to get something done with bipartisanship. That's what's wrong with Washington right now, there is no attempt to cross the isle and see good ideas or opportunities with opponents. There is no room for essential compromise. So, nothing gets done, except for the rare instances when brute force shoves things down people's throats.

9. Hey, wait a minute!
What business do you have bringing politics into politics???

There's my morning snark.

At DU and elsewhere there is a general disinclination to give politicians the latitude to maneuver politically. While some pols go beyond my personal limits with their maneuvers (i.e. HRC, Biden), it continually amazes me how many (lefty freeper) people don't understand anything about the way politics actually works.

Kerry is probably just about as liberal a pol as can get elected in MA. Coincidentally (or not), his politics coincide with my own pretty closely. I don't expect to agree with him (or with Teddy, for that matter) all the time. I was screaming my head off when Teddy cooperated on NCLB. To my mind that situation was a perfect parallel with the IWR. Kennedy and Kerry were both operating under the old rule - that collaboration and common sense trump hard line politics when it gets to the botton line. They were both played by Bush. Though Kerry's speeches at the time indicated he was aware of what Bush might do, he was betting that common sense would win out. We all know how that turned out.

The contingent that feels they could actually get a lefty freeper elected here is totally clueless. No way. It's too bad, though, that they can't look around the country and see what's really happening. They could use their energy a hell of a lot better.

10. Here is the only pertinent comment in the thread (direct link so that I
do not need to reference BMG).

http://blog.hcfama.org/?p=483

The rest of the thread has nothing to do with healthcare. The premise of the OP is that he is unhappy for Kerry praising Trav and DiMasi because they somehow are responsible for Gabrieli go have gotten enough votes at the convention.

The first comment is somehow relevant (the Mass plan is not a good one, so why did Kerry find necessary to praise it). But this is so insignificant that it is stupid.

For the rest, it is totally stupid.

There is a lot to say about what Kerry proposes, but this thread has nothing to do with that. Domestic politics at his best, and not necessarily from lefties, IMHO.
