This copy of a Aug. 19, 2005, wedding photo provided by the family shows U.S Marine Cpl. Phillip E. Baucus, 28, of Wolf Creek, Mont., who died while conducting combat operations in Iraq July 29, 2006. Cpl. Baucus is the nephew of Sen. Max Baucus (news, bio, voting record), D-Mont. 4. Thanks for the Info
That explains why Baucus was not there at the vote today.

The Iraq situation has gotten so out of hand, just as it has between the Israelis and Lebanon.

I will add this note on my blog.

Peace, everyone.

Benny

5. News was held back until all the family had been notified.
It's summer. People are away.

6. Thanks for checking in
and wlecome to the Kerry forum. This news is as sad for this family as it is for all the other families who have lost so much in this war. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

7. How awful - he looks so young and happy in the photo
Senator Baucus always seemed a very nice guy in the Finance(?) committee hearings. Oddly, the first thing that came to mind hearing his name was - Senators Harkin and Kerry laughing an inauguration day as Kerry pushed Senator Baucus's cowboy hat off.
