George Felix Allen?
I had no idea. No disrespect to any of you whose middle name might be Felix (LOL) or who have family named Felix, but this is priceless.
I think bush-league is a keeper, too.

2. I don't recall that.
LOL. Actually, I do.

I know there will be a few "that's what Kerry should have done" comments on that thread, but this was a surrogate talking, not Webb. This kind of attack is not for the candidate to make. But 'Felix' is hysterical. Who knew? Seriously, anyone?

3. I honestly remember little but the annoying jingle
I saw the thread and you're right. It would have been a land slide, Kerry would have gotten tons of free media.

They ignore that this is saying a specific view, that Webb has, is unpatriotic - This is not lying about important, verifiable accomplishments he had.

BLM posted a comparable Kerry response to a similar situation. (Also this would be best compared to a Wade response - and Wade's doughnut eating beats this.)

4. I just put this on the JK e-mail thread, but it begs reiterating that
we're not going to put up with any Webb supporters dissing Kerry, because Kerry stuck his neck out for Webb, endorsed him, raised money for him, vowed that he would defend him if REAL smears came Webb's way, and this was all coming from a history of Webb refusing to shake Kerry's hand and the vile stuff he said about Kerry as late as '04. Keep it polite, guys, but any snarking of Kerry by Webb supporters needs to be answered. They need to be humbled. I'm checking my Virginia blogs every day, and will respond the same way there, too.

5. Especilly as Kerry may have made the difference in him winning
the primary. The near DC area which was the big Kerry area was per some articles before Kerry's endorsement thought that Miller might win but Webb easily won. It's not hard to believe that Kerry turned several votes - especially as many were disturbed because of Webb's actions in 2004.

6. blm also made the point of difference between attacking Allen
and others like Allen who are chickenhawks and the attacks on the swift boat veterans themselves who were attacking Kerry. it's easy to attack someone like Allen and Kerry regularly did when talking about Bush, Cheney, Rove etc.

but it's another matter when responding to the veterans themselves. you can't use the chickenhawk thing. and you have to distinguish between those who are lying about Kerry and those who may disagree and maybe not evne like Kerry yet are not lying about him.

7. And more Barfbag news
Hey, the idiot listened to me, and is in favor of net neutrality, or at least leaning that way. I'm being sarcastic: his being in favor of net neutrality is no doubt due to the endless love coming his way from Freeperville who want him as prez. One area where a crosssection of the Left and Right came together:

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/6/27/231713/997

Stevens and Smith are almost certainly against us, and McCain, Allen, and Hutchison are the most likely supporters among Republicans. We should be able to count on the votes of both Nelsons and Rockefeller, but they are definitely worth calling.

And here is Allen's response to Webb's. My reaction is 1) shame on you Harris Miller for pulling out the anti-semitic card in the primary -- you KNEW that would be used by Allen but you did it anyway and 2) considering Allen's racist past, what an unbelievably hypocritical statement.

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/6/28/04142/2158

"Sad and pathetic but predictable from a campaign that resorted to using an anti-Semitic cartoon against their opponent in the primary. So I guess anytime Webb's vacillation on issues is questioned they will resort to this. Since the rumor is out there that the DSCC will be taking over the campaign replacing the staff and consultants I guess Jarding had to try and show how tough he is."

Um, Jarding successfully got Warner elected guv. True, he's an ass (Jarding), but he's an ass with a winning record. Looks like this is going to be a very silly race. Are there going to be any issues, or just 6th grade school yard talk?

9. Son of a Bleep -- Allen voted AGAINST Net Neutrality in committee
Apparently, Telecomm money talks. The Webbies are up in arms and talking about how he has declared war on the internet. I want to know what Freeperville thinks. Now what do they think about his Barfbagness? You know with Hillary hiring Peter Dauo, that makes every single candidate on the Dem side completely aware and engaged about the blogosphere. Meanwhile, what in the heck is happening with the Republicans and their blog power? That's right. There's NONE.

10. Okay, I was wrong. Freeperville is AGAINST Net Neutrality
Probably because Dems are for it. Anyway, I need to shower now, going over there, but felt compelled to bring you their mentality which is really so unbelievably nutty, I'm left speechless:

To: IrishMike

There is no longer any doubt as to why the Democrat Party wants to withdraw from Afghanistan and Iraq.

They need the troops home to make war on American citizens.

Um, G. Mason -- the Democrats are OUT of power, and its YOUR guys who have trampled OUR rights. How are they supposed to make "war on American citizens" when they control absolutely nothing. Certifiable these people is about right.

11. I enjoyed Webb's smackdown of Barfbag Allen
As for Webb's supporters, I'm not as familiar with them or their tactics.
