I think there is a coordinated campaign to Swiftboat JK in the blogworld. I have always known that there are RW trolls who come to lib blogs to trash Kerry because he is the biggest threat to their agenda, but today just crystallizes it for me. We don't have many friends here, you guys. BLM's thread on the greatest page proves that. It is up to US to spread the truth and refute the lies, and we are alone. There are a lot of bitter, twisted people out to destroy JK and they have 1,000 different agendas, but they share the same goal. We need to drown this bullshit out.

4. I havent been on AIM because I am on the sucky laptop
The good news is though that I will likely be able to keep my data. It's been a tough week though since the whole Virginia primary is getitng complicated beyond reason and more importantly of all my grandfather was in the hospital. Honestly, regarding the primary it sounds stupid I know but I may not even vote.

That's a clusterfuck. Sorry JK, I still don't forgive Webb for being a Swift-Boat lying asshole cocksucker. He can eat shit and die as far as I care. So, no, I don't envy you.

6. I am thinking about writing in Thomas Jefferson if I can
Then he could add to that headstone of his that tells that he was everything but president that he also was a senator an incredible 180 years after his death. Yeah and I may be out of my voting precinct in the next two weeks since I told my mom that I'd help her folks out. I think it's more important than the primary at this point.

Suzy, you keep trying to put a halo on JK, but I'm telling you, it's not going to fit.
He's a great man, but just a mere mortal like the rest of us.

I do agree that what he did for Webb was incredibly selfless. I couldn't have done it.

38. A halo on John Kerry?
Oh dear lord, of all the things he doesn't need right now, halo is number one.

Kick ass Senator and take no prisoners. Throw the friggin halo in the trash. Saints make crappy politicians. They have a habit of getting themselves martyred and then aren't around when you really need them. No saints please, I prefer real humans. Works out better for both sides, IMHO.

Clusterfuck is right. Harris is looking worse with every minute. I might vote for the other dipshit because his son is going to Iraq. Kind of like a vote for his son, not his Dad. But really, I haven't a clue what I'll do until I face the Diebold machine (oh, that doesn't look good for Harris).

9. Sorry about your grandpa
Is he doing okay now??

I feel for you guys and that primary. Beachmom just posted that Miller was siding up with that Doug Lewis who is responsible for pushing all these DRE's out before they were anywhere near ready and we never did figure out who he is anyway. So that makes me very very concerned about him. I guess I can understand how Webb fits into the strategy the Dems want to run this year, anti-war military Dems, but I sure don't like voting for anybody who liked Reagan. I don't know what I'd do if I were a Virginian either.

14. Yeah he got out today
It's why I haven't been on at all today. Me and my mom went to the hospital. He's probably one of the toughest people I've ever known though and probably one of the most selfless too. He talked a lot today about how grateful he was to be in better shape than they thought he was because that would mean a higher burden on my grandmother. I haven't got a summer job yet so I think I may spend some time helping them out with stuff. First time in a while that I really had at a length conversation about my uncle with my grandparents.

7. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun.
Had a great time, met some cool people, got some free swag, all was good.

On the flip side, seeing real Democrats in action and helping JK in the real world dramatically lessens my already short patience for blogosphere trolling bullshit. I may have to take a DU sabbatical this summer. Or maybe I'll start an independent pro-Kerry blog where I can delete trolls and lay down the beautiful smackdown at will. I know I have had to bite my tongue on DU many times recently because if I said what I really felt about this bullshit I'd get banned (while the trolls and bashers are actively encouraged by TPTB here. Nice.) BLM's thread in particular really underscores how institutional this agenda is. Fuck these people hard.

19. glad you enjoyed it
The convention, I mean, not coming back to this nonsense. Do take a breather if you feel like you need to get away from this. But don't give up on the blogosphere. Unfortunately, that voice is being heard more and more, so we have to make sure that it's not being distorted by those whose agenda is so obvious.

8. Hi WEL!
Edited on Sun Jun-04-06 05:47 PM by ProSense
You are absolutely right. After all this time screaming about the stolen election evidently a few left blogs, mired in their own agenda, seem to be willing to compromise an investigation to serve those 1,000 agenda. Case in point from two who have no love for Democrats:

In the course of reporting on what happened here in Ohio, relentless indifference and scorn has come from the Democratic Party and the media, including much of the left press.

http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0604-29.htm

They're referring to blogs. Out of Iraq now, yet none are promoting Kerry's call which has a real shot.

These people are full of shit. From where I sit, in the middle or bluejersey, I can say these people are not the average voter! This isn't to say the stolen election concept is widely supported, but rational people understand that the election was less than fair and more now understand why!

10. They have absolutely nothing in common with the average voter.
Blog nutjobs are so far removed from the real world and it's obvious when you read what passes for "logic" in their frothing, ranting posts. Thank God these aren't the people we have to win over in 2008. That said, I agree with MH that this article is the best response to the "he caved" inane brainless bullshit - http://moritzlaw.osu.edu/blogs/tokaji/2006/06/back-to-ohio-rolling-stone-piece.html

This guy actually understands LAW and makes important real-world points about the Ohio case, which blows the complete idiocy of the ranting fools out of the water.

13. Republican Corruption Permeates Elections
Can we run with that? I think all Democrats agree on that. Irregularities really doesn't cut it, fraud and stolen get us into the whole legal problem of no overturning evidence. But corruption, that's an ugly little word that implies cronyism and sleaze and deceit, and we do have court cases to back that up.
