Some douchebag wants Kerry to give up his Senate seat
Cuz he's so conservative, right? Just because you don't think he's a good candidate doesn't mean he's not a good Senator.

1. where? on DU?
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 10:01 PM by whometense
First thing to ask is if he's from Massachusetts. If not, thank him to STFU. He doesn't get a vote.

Sounds like some rightwinger who can't stand Kerry getting on Rice. Same person may have wanted to impeach Clinton... Stupid, stupid move, hon.

4. well, they should run against him then
they sure love to rant on websites about how horrible or bad he is.

so why not run against him ? it's because they are just talk.

it's like those people who make a huge thing about how they might leave the party. it's just ways to get attention or some other stupid shit online. but they wont really do anything.

10. And yet they have no compunction about doing that.
YOU are holding on to your manners and standards and trying not to sink to their level. Meanwhile, the orgy of Kerry-bashing is in full swing elsewhere on DU. I am fed up to the back teeth with talk of purging or "destroying" (Yes, those are the words they use) any Democrat who doesn't behave precisely as these posters wish at precisely every moment of the day.

I think someday they'll all be sitting in a bar with Ralph Nader, talking about how morally pure they all are and what a success their strategies would be.

Wouldn't it be funny if all these supposed geniuses were posting in their underwear from the basement apartment they've begged from a relative? Such are the thoughts that run through my mind...

I don't know if I'm cranky or what, but this is just enough. We do more damage to ourselves than Republicans do and most of the time by repeating their lies. We've got too much to do to let this crap continue. Besides, we pay for this site too.

14. Thanks
but it'll probably stay. This person is a dumbass though. Just because he doesn't like him as a candidate doesn't mean he doesn't consistently vote liberally. He's made a few decisions that I disagree with but that doesn't mean he's fucking Bushlite. Some people should get their asses kicked.

15. I disagreed with NAFTA, etc.
But that's about it. I understand the need for the Patriot Act. How it was implemented by the FBI was a big part of the problem, and Kerry didn't vote for Ashcroft. Parents do want more accountability in education and to know how their local schools rate. Again, implementation which Kerry tried to address early on. The IWR wasn't a vote for war, no matter how many times the left tries to say it was. Bush said at the time it wasn't a vote for war, we lost an opportunity to label HIM the flip-flopping liar on that vote alone. But nooooo, couldn't do it because the left is too stupid to see that not only did the Congress pass the IWR, the UN passed a resolution too. The left operates on propaganda that doesn't match reality just as much as the right does. It annoys the hell out of me and hurt this election as much as anything. Some days I wish they really would go find a socialist utopia to live in.

It's true. Selfrighteousness is a very unattractive trait. I've disagreed w/ Kerry on NAFTA, NCLB, and of course the IWR. I understand his motivations but I don't agree. Still, he's a great liberal in spite of what the lefties might say here. They kind of remind me of people I've seen around the community. I live in Santa Barbara which is full of wealthy people. I was doing voter reg and there was this guy who wanted an anti Bush sticker but was ABB. I wonder if it was because Kerry wasn't "liberal" enough. I just think it's hilarious when some yuppy decides that someone isn't liberal enough. I'm not saying rich people can't be good liberals. I can't really explain it without sounding like a jerk.

17. I understand I think
People who believe in things more for the politics of it and don't always understand how critical what they say they're fighting for really is to people. If they did, they would be willing to look at the good that's done instead of just debating the philosophies of the issues. Sometimes it seems like it's more about winning the abstract fight than really getting the help to the people. It's like global trade, it really is supposed to help third world economies and lift people out of poverty. If we didn't have such blood-sucking corporations, it might have worked by now. I wish people would focus on the people the way we fought for unions here, instead of just ranting against the WTO and nobody understanding why. It's hard to convince every day voters they care sometimes.

A couple of phone whores. Sorry but that one pisses me off all the time with her damn Kerry bashing. But seriously if all I could get was a damn job having phone sex with god know's what on the other end of the line I would have to be one broke ass women. To me that shit is for people who have no talent or mind of their own nor respect for themselves for that matter. And hell to brag about it sheesh nasty. Because that is what that one bitch is talking about that is for sure. No damn wonder the bitch finds it so easy to pass judgment on others she has to judge others so she doesn't feel so cheap and ignorant.

And has for a long time. Anyway, I'm so dense I didn't even get the $2.99 a minute "job". I guess if a person can make a living at it. I couldn't. I'd be like "Does your mother know what you're doing?"

23. The reason I figured it out
was that one bitch talking about her so-called "voice talent" then the 2.99 a minute, and then talking about having a handle. These bitches are dead give aways. To me that is as nasty and low class as a damn porn star. People like that have no respect for themselves. And to me they are people with no talent or mind of their own so they use their hose or what is between their legs to think with. As I said if that was the only work I could get I would be one broke ass women. It's not for me that is for damn sure.

but I think you should get some rest. That being said, I can tell you that I have a feeling this semester is going to be challenging in getting the A's that I have grow accustomed to. Last semester I lived and breathed homework, but now I'm increasingly distracted by compelling fiction.;-)

ahem, yes indeed. I just found out I need another class, so I am now registered for 15 credit hours, all writing intensive classes--even geology. Does your school have a writing across curriculum program? Anyway, with all the writing I'm doing I should be ready for the big time. Either that or a padded room--time will tell. I'm glad to know I have a place to unwind, so to speak.
