I love both of my senators
A little Teddy K catnip:

Life of Ted

Who knew Ted Kennedy was a Monty Python fan? As part of a fund-raiser, the senator attended Friday's performance of ''Spamalot" at the Colonial, and after the show he got up onstage with wife Vicki and daughter Kara. The senator shook hands and posed for pictures, then led the cast in song -- ''On the Street Where You Live" from ''My Fair Lady," to be precise -- during which he also danced with Lady of the Lake actress Pia C. Glenn.

They can't be beaten for sheer joie de vivre.

Oh, and don't tell Stephen Colbert, but we have BEARS.

Now I should be stern mom and tell you to get back to work, but I can't because my son, who also is supposed to be writing a paper, is out visiting a friend instead.

And yes, you are a very bad girl. But it did look like you were enjoying yourself. ;-) Plus, you quoted my very deserving buddy Shaun, so how can I be upset at you???

picture of Teddy surrounded by the cast of Spamalot, but I can't find it online. He looked like he was having a wonderful time!

9. Wyden's not a bad guy!
He votes with the Dems about 80% of the time. I bet GV would trade you Santorum for him. (Though that is a curse that no one deserves.)

Teddy K is a exuberant man. He is a lot of fun to be around. Considering all the sorrows and heartaches that have entered his life, it really is a testiment to the man that he is so full of fun. (I loved seeing him dance last year at the Dem Convention. "Still the One,' indeed Teddy. At the recent DCI conference I went to, the Chair of the Mass Dems, Phil Johnston was talking about how nice it was for Uncle Ted to sponser the very lunch we were eating. He then called Uncle Ted, 'The Greatest Senator Who Ever Lived.' Johnston looked around, sheepishly asked, 'if John was here,' and then said it again. The Kennedy people in the room roared with laughter. (Ahm, I think John would agree with that assessment, btw.)

10. One thing you can say about your Senators - I s they know how to have fun!
Maybe the fun and joie de vivre gives them the energy, optimism and strength to fight on against the odds.

11. That really is an interesting pair.
Funny, with everything that the Sen. Kennedy has been through in his life, I would expect him to be more somber and thoughtful. But he is more inclined to not dwell on that stuff. I think my other Sen is more the 'ponderer' of things. Hmmmmm.
